Olesia Sandbaek was born in Russia and completed her classical singing and piano training at the renowned Moscow State Pedagogical University in Moscow.
At the beginning of her 20s she emigrated to Munich, where she quickly established herself as a private teacher and gained a high reputation. Many of her students saw the lessons as more than just a hobby and pursued the idea of a singing career.
Olesia constantly expanded her teaching program and also continued to develop her own singing and piano playing skills. Among other things, jazz piano and belting* (techniques in today’s singing school, pop jazz) became an integral part of her portfolio.
Olesia also had students at the Royal Music Academy of London, which successfully prepared her for her degrees. She always paid attention to the positive vibrations of music and its high educational healing potential, which is promoted through singing and playing.
This is why Olesia always adapts the teaching content to each of her students individually and according to their performance.
Olesia has been able to train and further educate over 500 satisfied students over the last 18 years. The annual student concerts also became popular highlights for your students and their friends and families.

Belt Voice Training is a manual with exercises that you can download and practice at home. The execution of the exercises is explained in detail and understandable in order to develop a blaring voice
Concrete instructions on modern music with case studies (“Listen” by Beyonce, “we are the champions” by Queen) to learn and refine the technique and try to distinguish and apply the different musical styles (pop, soul jazz, rock) individually.
The practice examples are not only limited to the different vocal ranges, but also separate the piano accompaniment so that you can practice independently.
The training is therefore a comprehensive guide to learning “belting”.

Vocal technique by Christin Bonin
Dr. phil. Christin Bonin
Based on her first degree as a singing teacher, Christin Bonin founded her own singing school “Star me up” in Munich in 2004 to teach musical, pop, rock, jazz and classical music. Over 30 young winners of “Jugend musiziert” in the musical and pop sectors speak for their success. Dr. Bonin used her extensive experience in all styles to develop her method “Belt Voice Training” and has published the methodological books “Belting” and “Singing Makes You Happy” as well as their English language editions.
Dr. Bonin received his doctorate from the Institute for Theater Studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. Her dissertation was published in 2022 under the title “The Broadway Belt — The Musical Diva and Her Belt Voice from Technical, Ethnic, and Feminist Perspectives.” She previously completed her Master of Arts in musicology on the subject of vocal typological development in Broadway musicals, also at LMU, in 2016.
She occasionally gives lectures at international conferences. In 2016, Olesia Sandbaek took over the management of the “Star me up” singing school after being Christin Bonin’s assistant for many years. In addition to Christin Bonin’s methods “Belt Voice Training” and “Singing Makes You Happy”, she also teaches piano very successfully.

Olesia Sandbaek's ambition is to give her students, regardless of age and previous knowledge, more fulfillment and happiness through music and to discover and promote their individual abilities through her singing and piano lessons in order to further develop them professionally.
It is above all music that can have a positive influence on a happy and successful life right from the start. But music can do so much more. It promotes our intellectual and emotional abilities and manifests values.
And I see it as my job to passionately and passionately exploit the full potential of my students. Ultimately, music helps each of us grow as individuals throughout our lives.
